Transcendients Community Celebration: Challenging Borders

Presented by the Japanese American National Museum, Transcendients Community Celebration: Challenging Borders is a free one-day celebration of the TRANSCENDIENTS “heroes” and their work as featured in artist Taiji Terasaki’s groundbreaking collaboration with the Japanese American National Museum, Transcendients: Heroes at Borders on Saturday, March 7th from 11 AM – 5 PM. This day provides an opportunity for people to learn, celebrate, to challenge, and to grow through border-crossing dance and music, art, interactive activities, and discussion and facilitated conversations with nine “heroes” on food, human rights, and art activism in Los Angeles.
This event is free and open to the public of all ages. Admission will also be free all day at the Japanese American National Museum to view the exhibitions including Transcendients: Heroes at Borders.
