Author and instructor Sonoko Sakai will present a cooking demonstration, with a small tasting, based on a recipe from her newest book, “Japanese Home Cooking: Simple Meals, Authentic Flavors.”

Following the demonstration, she will sign copies of “Japanese Home Cooking” as well as her previous work, “Rice Craft.”

The cooking demonstration and book signing is included with museum admission. Space is limited, so RSVPs are strongly encouraged using the ticket link.

Rice from the food demonstration is donated by Koda Farms – A California Farming Legacy Since 1928.

Separate RSVP: In the morning, Sonoko Sakai will lead a soba making workshop — Make Your Own Toshikoshi Soba with Sonoko Sakai at 10am.
